A Garden, A Snake & A Promise

A Garden, A Snake and A Promise
God created a perfect world ? and called it good. Then, the Fall came. Sin entered the world through Adam ?? and Eve ??when they gave in to the temptation of the serpent ? and disobeyed God.
God tells us about the coming of Jesus to overcome the evil that Adam and Eve bought to us. God spoke to the serpent that deceived Adam and Eve:
“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” Genesis 3:15
God says that his deliverer will crush the serpent ?. In doing so, the offspring of Adam and Eve would be hurt. God knew that he would send a Savior to suffer to overcome the works of evil. That Savior is Jesus.
Jesus himself says:
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart ❤️! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
John reminds us how Jesus fulfilled the promised given in Genesis:
…but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 1 John 4:3-5
**The power to overcome has been given to all who profess faith in Jesus Christ and his saving grace. Thank God for your victory!**????
